Art + cake = win.

Recent freelance project, to be used for invitations to a birthday party as well as the centerpiece of each table at said party. Come to find out, the client who commissioned this piece is now proceeding to turn the artwork into a THREE-DIMENSIONAL CAKE.

Well, at least the pencils are finished. I'm an idiot and ended up having to draw this on two separate sheets of board, so I had to tape them together while I was drawing. As a result the scan is a bit wonky, so there are lines that don't, um, line up. Should be better once I ink it, which at this rate will be in February.

and the word of the day is...neglect!

Because that's what I've been doing to the blog lately. This is half done, I still have to draw a lighthouse and some seagulls and what not. I haven't been to a beach in about 3 years so I've kind of forgotten what it looks like...
